He who follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness, and honor.
-Proverbs 21:21 | NKJV

The benefits a Christian can get for living a righteous life are as follow:

1. Righteousness yields good reports from God and man.
   -Genesis 6:9
2. Righteousness brings about divine selection.
   -Genesis 7:1
3. Righteousness sets you apart from the world.
   -Genesis 18:23
4. Righteousness activates the mercy of God.
   -Genesis 18:24
5. God separates the righteous from the wicked, saving the former and destroying the latter.
   -Genesis 18:25
6. Righteousness yields good judgement.
   -Genesis 18:25
7. The righteousness of one person has a good effect on others.
   -Genesis 18:26
8. A righteous person ends his life on a good note.
   -Numbers 23:10
9. Righteousness brings about greatness.
   -Deuteronomy 4:8
10. Many people benefit from the restoration that comes from righteousness.
    -Deuteronomy 24:13
11. Righteousness brings about sacrificial acts that benefit the lives of many people.
    -Deuteronomy 33:21
12. Because righteousness is hard work, one can expect a life of abundance.

13. A righteous person is adventurous and he finds treasures no one else can.

14. Good decision making is a hallmark of righteousness.

15. Because of righteousness, one is able to make good decisions or choices.

16. Righteousness breeds courage.

17. Righteousness brings about good treatment.

18. The kindness as the product of one’s righteousness, can benefit even his descendants.

20. Righteousness makes people keep their promises all the time.
