Menstrual Sexual Relations

Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is in her customary impurity. This is the law for him who has a discharge and for him who has an emission of semen, becoming unclean thereby;

In God’s infinite wisdom, He created man and woman to be distinct. Even though both of them have their uncleanness (man having his nocturnal emissions and woman having her menses), they go through, the period of women is routine. God has created a fallopian tube (either of the pair of tubes that carry the egg from the ovary to the uterus) in the woman, that is responsible for discharging mature ovum from the ovary (every month) so it can fertilize with a man’s sperm to form a baby. But when the egg is ready and there is no sperm to fertilize it, it passes through the uterus and flows out as blood, normally called menstruation or seen as uncleanness in Leviticus 15:19.
There is a spiritual implication that has on the woman when a man has sex with her during this period. In this ‘state,’ the woman enters into a period of uncleanness even though that is part of her development as a human. That is why certain strange behaviours occur during these times of their lives if the woman does not compose herself spiritually by getting closer to God. This is also the time when the kingdom of darkness is alert because they see it as an opportunity of possessing her at will because of her state of ‘uncleanness.’ This is one of the things that makes women very vulnerable to evil spirits more than men or makes them weaker vessels.
In this period, God expects the husband to excuse his wife for a while until the period is over. God made a woman in such a way that, it is not every time you need to have sex with her. If you engage in any sexual activity with a woman in her menses, you stand the risk of spiritual uncleanness. Because the one who joins forces with a harlot is also a harlot because the two have become one flesh (1 Corinthians 6:16), so it happens in the life of a man who normally have sex with a woman in her menses. It is sexual immorality to have sex with a woman in her menses. If you waited enough to be her husband, you can also wait enough for her to complete her menstrual cycle.
The Bible has stated categorically clear in Leviticus 18:19. This doesn’t need to be debated upon. Just allow your woman to rest for a while and gain momentum after her menses. She is always there for you as a wife. But there are certain men who are filled with lust. They don’t care whether you are in your menses or not. They just can’t wait. These are the men who married just because they were not able to control their libidos when they were single. We don’t marry to ‘kill’ lust. So, if you are not able to curb your libido when you are single, it will only heighten when you marry. Having sex with your wife in her state of uncleanness can block your chance of having eternal life.

¹Lift up prayers for deliverance from every evil spirit that influences you as a husband or influences you as a wife to have sexual activities mostly with your spouse in your state of uncleanness. ²Lift up prayers onto the Lord to give you self-control always to wait patiently during your state of uncleanness in the name of Jesus Christ.
