Prostitution is the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money. When God took the Israelites from Egypt, He gave them strict commandments not to practice the ordinances, statutes, values or
customs of the Egyptians. Usually, the environment we live in has a way of influencing us in a way and God knew this as well. If your parents used to practice prostitution when they were young, it is likely that the family altar or generational curse can inflict you to engage in such an act. That is why a child is likely to engage in sexual immoralities when his or her parents did the same when they were young. Your actions as a parent will rub off on your children.
Even when there is no evil spirit to hand you that spiritual baton of sexual immorality, it is in the bloodline. As the old sage goes that, ‘blood is thicker than water,’ so it is when genes are passed on from the parents to the offsprings. You never thought you would become a prostitute, but a certain lecturer told you that before you could pass his examination, he needed to spend a night with you first. When you confronted your friends with this issue, they told you that, ‘Use what you have to get what you want.’ Now, you can’t live without spending nights with rich men for money. Young lady, where did your boss tell you to meet him after the interview before he employed you?
He called you to meet him at a certain hotel, right? And you accepted right? I see! You are a believer, but you don’t mind getting favours by engaging in prostitution. You can’t tell me there is no work in this world you can’t find. It is because you are so lazy! Qualification is not a matter. Get your hands dirty through the hard work of a good job. There are many opportunities you have around you to do your own good work. Prostitution is never a good work! Don’t let the devil provide shortcuts for you which will only land you into destruction. You are not beautiful than the people who are hawking in traffics and who are gallivanting under the heat of the sun every day trying to make a living.
Now, it seems you are enjoying yourself with all the luxuries around, but the day HIV/AIDS greets you and make itself comfortable in the living room of your body, is the day you will remember the Word of the Lord. That is the day you will regret forsaking the Lord. Today, when you ask many people the work they do, they can’t tell, just because they can’t voice out they practice prostitution. Prostitution is not always about having sex with people for money but for certain favours. One aspect that is making prostitution so rampant is the way of dressing. The way you dress indecently to expose your body tells it all that you are a high-end prostitute! If you are a Christian, your dressing also matters.
