STUMBLINGBLOCK

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a STUMBLING BLOCK or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

Stumblingblock is something or someone that stops you from doing what you want to do; an obstacle to one’s progress; or an impediment to belief or understanding. If you will go to hell, don’t try to drag someone along with you there. Don’t be an impediment to someone’s salvation, otherwise, you will not have peace on this earth and afterlife. The punishment meted out for those who put stumbling blocks before others is indeed a severe one. Beloved, everything you have or everyone you are related to or have control over, you are just a steward over those people and those things. We will definitely give account of our stewardship concerning things we have as given by God.
Everything we have was given to us by God’s will, for He is the One who created them all (Genesis 1). We will bear with one another that, we came into this world as naked beings, having nothing. Satan has never created anything before, yet he told Jesus Christ he would give Him the kingdoms of the world and its glory if He would worship him (Matthew 4:8-9). The model Satan uses to entrap people into his kingdom is through stumbling blocks. He first started that in heaven. Satan who was filled with lust wanted to overthrow God from the throne through coup d’état but his approach of winning one-third of the angels was through the stumbling block of democracy.
He made them feel they didn’t need to be submissive under the authority of God but to join forces with him to find freedom
from the autocratic system of God’s government. He made them feel that God was evil but he was the one who was good and what he was doing was the right thing. Little did the fallen angels know that Lucifer was rather putting a stumbling block before them that would make God overthrow them from heaven and lose the relationship they have had with Him for so many years. It was the same wile Satan used in the Garden of Eden to entice man to fall. God doesn’t intentionally put a stumbling block of temptation before you to cause you to fall so He can raise you up as some people think (James 1:13-14).
Satan is the mastermind behind temptations and his plan is to ruin the relationship we have with God. Don’t let the hips, breasts and buttocks of the ladies entice you – young man to fornicate. You are not the only handsome guy on earth to entice the ladies into sin. Satan has specially anointed people to talk and act anyhow so he can cause you to be offended. The fact that you are a Christian doesn’t mean offences should not come. Satan has made up his mind not to go to the lake of fire alone but he is enticing people through the system of stumbling blocks to join his evil kingdom of mass destruction. When you are alone, watch what you think about and when you are with people, be watchful of your heart and mouth.

Lord Jesus Christ, as I repent from all acts of putting stumbling blocks of offences before people, help me to overcome all offences of others in the name of Jesus Christ.
