JUDGEMENTAL PROOF

We all know God to be merciful, full of love and abundant in grace, but is that all He is? I have met people who only knew the grace part of God, but when I opened their eyes to the fact that God is a Just God who punishes people for the evil they have committed, they failed to accept this truth. Today, some believers don’t read their Bibles but follow what other Pastors are saying. Deceitful teachings are circulating around which are gradually winning the hearts of many believers. The golden rule still stands: What you sow is what you will reap. If you sow sin, you will reap the harvest of death and its related adverse consequences (Romans 6:23).
Even though false teachings and false prophecies are here with us, one should not allow himself to be influenced by them. Our lives must be transformed by the Word of God and not that the Word must conform to our sinful lives. There are two things that are embedded in the justice nature of God: Punishment and judgement. God has not judged anyone yet but He has punished people to serve as a piece of evidence for the terrible event of eternal damnation that is coming. The flood that destroyed the world during Noah’s time was a punishment and not a judgement. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by fire and brimstone, was also punishment and not a judgement.
God punishes mortals through curses. When He wanted to punish Adam, Eve, and the serpent, He cursed them. Many people who go through serial situations are certain curses God has placed on their lives because of sin or iniquity they had committed some time ago. Even though people forget about them sometimes, God still remembers. He can curse you by letting people forsake you when you need urgent help. He can punish you by confusion, fever, inflammation, scorching heat, drought, blight, mildew, or strange diseases that no medicine can cure. He can curse you so you will always be a failure even though you put in every maximum productivity of work.
Shreds of evidence of God’s punishment that He inflicted on the Jews was when He killed 23,000 men because of sexual immorality. Others who tested Christ were also killed by snakes. Those who grumbled were also killed by the destroying angel (1 Corinthians 10:8-10). These are all judgemental proofs for us. If you are a believer and still sin secretly thinking you have escaped God’s punishment, don’t be deceived. Many people of today are not afraid of God. They fear Satan more than God just because they have not experienced God’s judgement before. Everyone will appear before the judgement seat of Christ and whatever one has done with one’s body, one will be held accountable (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Lift up prayers for the fear of the Lord to learn from the Biblical pieces of evidence of God’s judgement that is yet to come, so you can live in righteousness, holiness, and sanctification all the days of your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
