BENEFITS OF PRAYER

And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said: “O Lord God, forgive, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!” So the Lord relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” said the Lord.

- Prayer is an avenue that makes one pour his supplication before God (2 Chronicles 6:21, 24). 27. Causes that are aligned to the will of God are maintained when prayer is lifted (2 Chronicles 6:34). 28. When prayers are lifted in righteousness, the eyes of the Lord are opened and His ears are attentive (2 Chronicles 6:40). 29. Lands are healed when prayers offered to God in righteousness is lifted (2 Chronicles 7:14). 30. Through prayer, intercessions are made for those in authorities (Ezra 6:10). 31. Through prayer, covenants are remembered and and mercy shown to the ones who love God (Nehemiah 1:5). 32. You can only remind God through prayer (Nehemiah 1:8).
- One is prospered by the power of the Lord through prayers that are lifted in righteousness (Nehemiah 1:11). 34. Prayer reminds the background and the real identity of the one offering it (Job 10:9). 35. To the righteous, anytime he lifts prayer, it profits his soul but the sinner has no profit because prayers cannot be lifted in sin (Job 21:15). 36. When prayers are lifted, the Lord keeps you from showing partiality and flattering to people (Job 32:21). 37. Those who lifts prayer to God, takes delight in Him and sees the Lord’s face with joy (Job 33:26). 38. The Lord restores the righteousness of the one lifting such a prayer (Job 33:26). 39. Prayers lifted on our behalf by others brings divine acceptance (Job 42:8).
- Prayer is a proof of godliness concerning the one who does it everyday in times that God is found (Psalms 32:6). 41. Merciful kindness is the comfort of those who lift up prayers according to the word of God (Psalms 119:76). 42. Through prayer, the freewill offerings of one’s mouth is offered and accepted by God (Psalms 119:108). 43. Through prayer, the judgement of God is taught by God (Psalms 119:108). 44. Through prayer, the peace of nations is actualised (Psalms 122:6). 45. One’s life lived in righteousness can be raised as a prayer topic to receive an immediate answer from God (Isaiah 38:3). 46. Prayer offered in groups bring togetherness and harmony (Isaiah 45:20).
- Prayer draws the one offering it closer to God (Isaiah 45:20). 48. Prayer brings about goodness in the lived of others when it is offered for the right people. 49. The one offering a prayer of peace for a nation, benefits from such a peace (Jeremiah 29:7). 50. The remnant of God is preserved because an intercessor has lifted prayers (Jeremiah 42:2). 51. When prayers are offered in a righteous manner, the anger and fury of God is turned away (Daniel 9:16). 52. When prayers are lifted, the feet of the youth are firmly established in the Lord (Amos 7:2, 5). 53. Prayer keeps the ungodly from perishing (Jonah 1:14). 54. You can seek God through prayer (Zechariah 8:21).
