LORD OF LIFE
David Abankwah
READ: Matthew 6:24

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
-Psalms 33:12 | NKJV

Please I want you to do a small exercise. Ask yourself these questions and answer them yourself. Please take your time and answer them. Don’t be in a haste. Who is the God I serve? Who is the Lord of my life? Which spirit controls my soul? What do I think about always? What do I find myself talking about with people often times? Where do I find myself going there a lot? Which friends do I have around me? What interests me so much and what are my ambitions in life? What are my likes and dislikes in Christianity, life, and ministry? You will notice that the latter answers differ from the former answers you hastily gave without thinking through in a while.

Today, when you ask everybody that are they children of Satan, they will say no. Again, when you ask certain believers that whether they will go to heaven or not, all of them will tell you they are going to heaven but they know they are not. It is the God/god you serve that determines the destination of your hereafter. It is the Lord/lord of your life that will lead your soul into his eternal destination. It is the Spirit/spirit in you that controls you to live the spiritual/carnal kind of life on this earth. It is what you think about that shows who you are: whether you are a Christian or you are a sinner. What you constantly talk about with people will tell you where you are heading towards.

You apportion the majority of your time to your work but less time for God and still think it is normal. When there is a church service, that day, you intentionally ask for overtime from your boss to work extra so you can miss church service. You don’t like fellowshipping, yet, you say you want to go to New Jerusalem. The friends you still mingle with are drug addicts, champion fornicators, liars, homosexuals, idolaters, armed robbers, hypocrites, blasphemers, yet you are bold in admitting that you are a Christian and still think you can change them. You are not serious! You talk about unnecessary kinds of stuff, use it for oral sex, and still use the same mouth to sing praises to God in church.

Today there are pretenders, hypocrites or liars in churches now and still claim God is the Lord of their lives. They put up good outward appearances but inwardly they are at loggerheads with one another. Compare the time you spend working for money, and the time you allocate for the works of your salvation and you will know who is the lord/Lord of your life. Today when you preach like this, many say you are judging
them. I am mandated to judge trivial matters because they pertain to the things of this life (1 Corinthians 6:2-3). You better repent and change. Allow God to be the Lord of your life and obey Him always. Living a life of self-will is obeying Satan in the making.

•| Prayer Diary |•
¹Lift up prayers to acknowledge God in every decision and choice you have to make. ²Lift up prayers unto God to be the Lord of your life and your Godliness. ³Lift up prayers to flow in the choices of God for your life as He overrides your free will with His will. ⁴Lift up prayers for the grace to be chosen instead of being rejected. ⁵Lift up prayers to present yourself as a sacrifice unto God as a living sacrifice worthy to be chosen as God’s inheritance in the name of Jesus Christ.
