Welcome To The Davidic Blog
Today’s Message, Authored By David Abankwah Is Entitled as, SERVICE
And Our Main Text Is Taken From Matthew 12:18, The New King James Version.
“Behold! MY SERVANT whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will declare justice to the Gentiles.
Life, Godliness, and ministry are all about service. Jesus Christ once said that the greatest among people is the one who serves most. Many times, we maltreat, dishonour, look down upon the people who sacrifice so many things in order for us to get the things we want and to make us live comfortable lives. This is the reason many believers who are guardians fall short of. They treat their biological sons and daughters well but they discredit, slander, mishandle those who stay with them, to the point that, these people often lose themselves which makes them unable to like themselves anymore
as time passes by. I have been in such situations but I overcame by the Lord.
Staying with people who are not your biological parents is very difficult especially when the guardian is ungodly. Parents, do well to train your children in the Lord. It is not the best to serve your children with material things while their souls pant for God without any satisfaction. Serve them with the Word of God as much as you can. Teach them how to have their quiet times. It is best to discipline your children for not going to church than to beat them for not going to school. Teach them the essentials of housekeeping. Teach them how to welcome and serve guests at home. Teach them how to cook. Teach them good manners. Teach them how to give rather than receiving.
Let your children know they are not born to be served by masters but to be servants for all. Teach them not to engage in any examination malpractice. Let them get their hands dirty for their successes through the right way. Don’t push them into avenues they don’t deserve or they are not qualified for. Workers, let us serve to the best of our productivity. God will judge us concerning the secular jobs we do. The fact that you go to church every day doesn’t mean you can play truancy in your workplace. Many bosses don’t value believers now because of bad work ethics. They criticise the government destructively and not constructively but they are also part of the blame as citizens.
Whatever good job your hands find to do, do it with all your heart and God will bless it. There is no Christian in the church. If you are a Christian, prove it where you stay, where you work, among your family members and friends. It is service that brings promotion. People make choices because of service. Sometimes when those who are not so beautiful are getting married, but the beautiful ones are not, all boils down to the service the former can do more than the latter that the bridegroom saw from afar. Likewise, it is the service of faith and works that can make Jesus Christ who is also our bridegroom choose us for New Jerusalem. When you serve you will not die.
Prayer Diary
Lift up prayers for the wholesomeness habit of serving others irrespective of their status and the unforeseen mindset of not expecting material things in return for service rendered in ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
“Do you want to be great? Then, start serving! The greatest are those who serve most”
Stay Blessed
