The AudioBook, Before Genesis Chapter 1, Verse 1, Authored By David Abankwah Through The Inspiration Of God
Chapter 4
Main Heading: The Beginning
Bible Verse: Job Chapter 38, Verse Number 4
And I Quote
Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.
There is how things we see, feel, hear, taste, and touch came into being. The universe and all its fullness were created according to a certain understanding that the ultimate designer, thus God, performed the universe with, and the things that were filled in it by Him.
If you have wisdom and knowledge but lack understanding, then you wouldn’t know the depth of how you have to apply them. Understanding makes one able to know how things must be done or applied.
Two manufacturers can bring the same product on the market, but the one with understanding will bring out a product that is more qualitative than the other, and this quality separates the boys from the men.
Having knowledge is not enough. Having wisdom is not enough, but it is understanding that will help you use them all to its logical conclusion.
Subheading: The Understanding Between The Godhead
Bible Verse: Proverbs Chapter 3, Verse Number 19
And I Quote
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by UNDERSTANDING He ESTABLISHED the heavens;
Understanding makes one favoured and elevates one to be somebody. It is an essential element that enhances the relationship between people. Not only was it essential for humans, but it was also required between the three Persons of the Godhead: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Before the beginning, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding were the three essential elements that were used to make the universe. Nothing happens for no reason, and God is not a God of magic.
Understanding is not an entity as we know, but He is a Person. He is one of the Spirits of God. All the Persons of the Godhead have Him because they are One.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 31
And I Quote
And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and UNDERSTANDING, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship,
Have you ever met someone who seemed to understand everything you say? And have you also met someone who always finds it difficult to get the meaning of what proceeds of your mouth? Between these two people, who will you favour? I think the former will attract much favour than the latter.
We seem not to get what is behind the former. Understanding is not a thing that one buys. It is not a magic one can conjure. It is not either a kind that can be received, because understanding is a spiritual person.
If someone is much endowed with understanding, don’t envy the person. If you are a believer, pray to God to grant you that Spirit. It is not only wisdom that can be asked, as James chapter 1 verse number 5 talks about. Believe also that you have it, and surely you will walk in understanding in your life and in the ministry.
The earth was founded, thus, laid the groundwork for or used as a basis for, on wisdom, but it was an understanding that was used to make the heavens. There is an obvious difference between the heavens and the earth because of depth, and depth differs understanding from wisdom.
In one of the early days, God prophesied through Isaiah to the Israelites that His thoughts were not their thoughts and His ways were not their ways and that, as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways higher than ours and His thoughts too, as seen in Isaiah 55, 8 to 9.
Though these two principal places, thus heaven and earth, constitute the universe, they were not made by the one Spirit. The earth was founded on the Spirit of wisdom, and the heavens were established by the Spirit of understanding.
The heavens and the earth are what the Lord considers most even though He created other planets, the galaxy and other celestial bodies yet to be discovered.
His original plan before the beginning was that spiritual beings might inhabit the heavens, and the physical beings should also inhabit the earth. God also became a ruler of the heavens and gave the earth to His image, thus, man to control the other inhabitants of the earth.
Considering the heavens and the earth, the things that are in the heavens are much more than the earth. If you take understanding out of the equation, how can one live in the heavens, which nothing holds it and yet it doesn’t fall?
How can gravity, which pulls things down, unable to pull God and His hosts down from heaven to earth? Without understanding, how can the solar system and other celestial bodies seem to work well with no supervision?
Understanding is the key to the establishment of the heavens and its fullness. In the beginning, it was the benefit of the heavens to allow itself to be walked on by the Spirit of understanding. It is understanding that keeps the larger part of the universe, which is the heavens.
Now what we are interested in now is the meaning of the word ‘establishment.’ It seems I have been using this word for quite a while now. Let us therefore see what it entails.
To establish means:
1. To set up or found.
2. To prove the validity of something, as by an example, explanation or experiment.
3. To institute or enact something.
4. To bring about.
5. To install.
6. To use as a basis for.
Subheading: God The Father, The Homeowner And Designer
Bible Verse: Matthew Chapter 11, Verse Number 25
And I Quote
At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, FATHER, LORD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.
Homeowner or landlord is simply someone who owns a house. It is the term in building that depicts the owner of a housing project. This person cannot just begin laying blocks on each other and think he is building his house. There are things the homeowner should go through before the house of his desire can be completed for him to inhabit.
Bible Verse: Luke Chapter 14, Verse Number 28 to 30
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it, lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish?’
God the Father needed a home for Himself and other creations like us. He wasn’t selfish even before the universe was made. He had competent Persons in the Trinity He could rely on.
These were the other Persons of the Godhead, one in purpose with Him, loyal even before the world was made. These were God the Son who became the builder of the universe and God the Spirit who also became the contractor of the universe.
Subheading: Jesus Christ Sends The Twelve
It came to pass in Jesus Christ’s ministry when He sent His disciples on an outreach after He breathed into them the Spirit of God, because that was the Personality of the Godhead, they needed so they could do the work of God. We know little about Jesus Christ, but before the beginning, the Holy Spirit knew Him so He can witness about Him well.
After He had made an end of commanding His twelve disciples, He departed thence to teach and to preach in the cities. At that time, John the Baptist was also arrested and was imprisoned by Herod Antipas for speaking against him for marrying his brother’s wife, who he had killed.
Subheading: The Resolve Of John The Baptist’s Doubt
In the prison, He heard the works of Christ because the fame of Jesus Christ had reached the prisons. The Roman soldiers were having discussions about Him and the prison officials were also amazed by the works of Jesus Christ. As they were talking about it, John the Baptist heard of it.
In the prison, he had doubts about Jesus Christ because he knew that Jesus Christ, with all the power He had, didn’t seem to know that he, John Baptist, could one day end up in prison because of God’s work. He was offended that Jesus Christ couldn’t rescue him beforehand. This issue then troubled his heart, and he doubted the Messiahship of Jesus Christ.
One day he called for two of his trusted disciples to come to the prison for an important information. He disclosed to them what his worry was. He then sent them to inquire from Jesus Christ if He was the Messiah or not. They then came to Jesus Christ and asked Him, ‘Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?’
Jesus then answered and said onto the two disciples of John and said, ‘Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.’
Subheading: Jesus Christ Addresses The Crowd About The Homeowner Of The Universe Who Is His Father
As the disciples of John were leaving, Jesus Christ began addressing the crowd concerning John. He taught them till He began unravelling a mystery about God the Father. He used two titles for the Father and these were: ‘Father’ and ‘Lord.’
Father and Lord virtually mean the same thing. A father is a Head, a Founder or an Establisher, and Lord also means an Authoritative Person and an owner of something or someone. Every founder, establisher, head has authority. They are inseparable attributes.
God the Father before the beginning was the Decider of how things needed to be created, their establishment, and their extinction. The work of the Father was to decide the time for the creation, the duration of the creation work, the things that needed to be created, their demolition, and the new creation at a time to come.
Jesus Christ, the image of the invisible Father, who knew the Father more than us, made us realize that the universe which was created, was done though the decision, authority, direction, founding, and establishment of God the Father. He was and is the Homeowner of everything we have around us.
Subheading: The Father And The Beginning
Let us look at the Book of Genesis, which contains the creation of the universe. In the chapter one, verse number one till verse number 25, we can see the authority of the Father. It was what He decided that was contracted by the Holy Spirit, and that was what was built by the Word eventually.
In the verse number 26, that was the only place God the Father came down to the level of the Spirit and the Word because what they were about to do was like them. Unity brings humility. God the Father had to put aside His headship and be equal to the other two Persons of the Godhead.
Bible Verse: Genesis Chapter 1, Verse Number 26
And I Quote
Then GOD said, “Let US make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Subheading: God The Father As The Designer Of The Universe
Bible Verse: Hebrews Chapter 11, Verse Number 10
And I Quote
For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose DESIGNER and builder is GOD.
As the homeowner, He didn’t sit down and watch the project to be constructed but got involved too. He became the designer of the universe’s project.
The first member of the team of building is designers. Many designers approach this before purchasing a plot of land. Although we are all familiar with architects in this role, there are a number of other designer options one can consider.
God, as the Father didn’t have to buy any plot of land from anybody. No one was there in eternity who could have provided that. It was even in the interest of God to form the earth out of water, setting the pace for building something from scratch.
The following are few characteristics of God the Father concerning His role during the beginning of creation.
1. The headship of God the Father brought about the establishment of the universe.
Bible Verse: First Corinthians Chapter 11, Verse Number 3c
And I Quote
the head of Christ is God.
Paul once upon a time wrote to the church of Corinth and urged them concerning something they knew not. He pronounced that the headship of the word or Christ was God. As it was seen by Paul, so it was before the beginning.
Considering the body, for instance. Man was created in the image of God. Looking at the anatomy of the image of God, we realize that the head contains all the five senses for the body, which include sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
What is amazing is that the head, despite the possession of all these five senses, has the brain too that coordinates all of them. Not only does the brain coordinates the five senses but also coordinate the other parts of the body: both the anterior and posterior. If one part of the body cuts itself off from the head, that part experiences death.
When the head fails, all the other parts of the body will also fail automatically. When one part of the brain becomes faulty, death usually sets in. This is normally known as stroke. The hand is stroked when the nerve connecting it to the head which contains the brain is diseased.
A healthy head is usually a healthy body. The head then establishes the wellbeing of the systems of the body.
Not only does the head coordinates information back and forth but also, it is the seat or the faculty of reason which handles one’s thoughts, feelings, and conscious brain functions. All necessary intellect, judgement, and remembrance are executed by the head.
Likewise, the head of the Godhead who is the Father, is the One who masterminded the establishment of the universe. His intellects, judgement, reason, thought, and consciousness were what assisted the Spirit and the Word to execute the plan of creation successfully.
All animals, plants, humans, hosts of heaven, and everything else about heaven and the earth were the mindsets of the Father that led to their creation. All His mindsets were good in the end, as the Word implemented it.
2. The authority of God the Father brought about the perfect supervision concerning the installation of the universe.
Bible Verse: John Chapter 12, Verse Number 49
And I Quote
For I have not spoken on MY OWN AUTHORITY; but the FATHER who sent Me gave Me a COMMAND, what I should SAY and what I should SPEAK.
In Jesus Christ’s final public words before His betrayal, He made us to understand that, before He came to the earth, there was a meeting between Him and the Father. Like a Father usually calls His Son and sends Him to do something on His behalf, so it issued between God the Father and God the Son.
As fathers carefully instruct their children concerning what they should say and do, so they can be honoured in the presence of those they are sent to, so God the Son thus body inhabited by the invisible God for salvation, was sent by God the Father to build a broken relationship between Him and men.
No good father will send his child somewhere to represent Him without preparing the child well first for the task ahead. Jesus Christ didn’t come in His own authority but walked in the Authority of the Father. There was a hidden authority behind the Word as He walked the earth.
God the Father who is the Authority of the Word is also the Authority of the Holy Spirit. His commands rule them. Every authority has a command one must follow. Without rules and regulations, there is no authority. If you have authority over certain people and you can’t command them to do what is right and needful, then you have failed as an Authoritarian.
Not only is authority needed to command but to supervise a certain task. Not that the Spirit and the Word cannot work without supervision, but that is the understanding between the Godhead. The Spirit sees the Father as a Supervisor and the Son sees Him too. They work according to the directives of the Father. The universe and everything within it, were done under the auspices of God the Father.
The authority of the Father rubs off on the Spirit and the Son. This makes them exercise authority over us as the Father would. The very essence of the three Persons in the Trinity is authority because their very makeup is God.
What the Word of God was contracted to do as the Father sent Him by speaking Him into action during creation (Genesis 1:3), lied under the auspices of the Father’s authority. Likewise, what the Spirit of God needed to build after the Word of God was released during creation, thus Genesis chapter 1, verse number 2, also lied under the auspices of the authority of the Father.
3. The decision of God the Father aided in setting up the universe.
Bible Verse: Second Samuel Chapter 10, Verse Number 12
And I Quote
‘The LORD will do what HE DECIDES IS BEST!’
Once upon a time during King David’s reign, he sent some people to comfort and to show him some kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash for losing his father, King of Ammon, who showed kindness to King David when he was alive.
But when the new king, Hanun was convinced by the Princes of the people of Ammon that King David has sent spies, he took David’s servants who came purposely to honour him, shaved off half of their beards, cut off their garments in the middle of their buttocks and sent them away.
King Hanun didn’t investigate the matter concerning the information he heard from his officials well and came up with a sudden decision to humiliate the servants of David, who came for the funeral of King Nahash.
Little did King Hanun know that what he just did could one day tear down the kingdom apart that his father toiled so many years to build. Later on, this decision led to war. The Ammonites prepared for warfare in advance against Israel. They formed allies with Syrians and got 33,000 soldiers from Beth-rehob, Zoba, King Maacah and Ish-tob.
I want to share with you what Joab, the leader of David’s army, did when he and his army were fighting on two fronts thus battle against two sections of opponents who were Ammonites and Syrians. Joab, as a mighty warrior, could have decided to place his hope in his own strength but He said
Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God, 2 Samuel chapter 10, verse number 12
The will to do things comes from the decisions we make. Every action comes from a certain decision one has devised in the mind and in the heart. Joab placed his faith and hope in the will of God. He knew that if God had decided that, they should die in the battle, glory be to Him, if not too, glory be to Him. As He placed his faith and hope in the decision of God, the battle was won.
Bible Verse: Second Samuel Chapter 10, Verse Number 13 to 14
And I Quote
So Joab and the people who were with him drew near for the battle against the Syrians, and they fled before him. When the people of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fleeing, they also fled before Abishai, and entered the city. So Joab returned from the people of Ammon and went to Jerusalem.
I don’t know what battle you are going through. If only you will place your hope and faith in the decision of God concerning your life, help will come from above.
Subheading: God The Son – The General Contractor
Bible Verse: John Chapter 1, Verse Number 3
And I Quote
All things were made THROUGH Him, and WITHOUT Him nothing was made that was made.
The word of God who is Jesus Christ, was the medium through which the universe was made. When we look at this verse (John 1:3), we will quickly say that the word was the One who became the builder of the universe but He was the One who provided all the materials for the Holy Spirit needed for the construction of the universe.
For those of us who have not yet started building can learn more by reading this book. Indeed, in building, when we say a contractor, it does not necessarily mean the One who is literally laying the foundations, putting on the building materials and all that, but someone who contracts for and supervises construction.
The contractor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the construction site, management of vendors and trades and the communication of information to all involved parties throughout the course of the building project.
The contractor is a manager and possibly a tradesman that is employed by the homeowner on the advice of the designer, engineer or the homeowner if he is acting as the manager. A general contractor is responsible for the overall coordination of a housing project.
God the Son, as the general contractor, handled the materials needed by the Spirit of God as the civil engineer to use for the construction of the universe. The title ‘Everlasting Rock’ or ‘strength’ in Isaiah 26:4,’ depicts the building materials the Word of God is. The materials were not gotten from any source other than the Word of God, who is the God the Son.
Bible Verse: Isaiah Chapter 26, Verse Number 4
And I Quote
Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
Subheading: Processes Involved In Contraction By The God The Son
Number 1: God the Son as the contractor first assessed the project-specific documents.
The project-specific document also known as bid, proposal, or tender documents. These documents are made by architects or designers to be used as a reference guide and legitimacy against legal issues. God the Father, as the designer, made all the necessary architectural work for the construction of the building of the universe.
Without the proper assessment of legal documents by a competent lawyer, you can lose the house in the future. The legal aspect of the project is as important as its construction. It is worth hiring one of the best lawyers to look into legalities regarding housing project so contractual clauses will not be breached.
The architectural work of God the Father was perfect. The Son was rest assured that the bid He was given was genuine enough for Him to carry on His work as a contractor. No correction, suggestion, or contribution or any changes at all were made to it.
When John had the revelation about heaven, the lamb came and took the book from the Father, and that was how the scenario was. He didn’t change any word in the book that was sealed, because everything was perfect.
Bible Verse: Revelation 5, Verse Number 6 and 7
And I Quote
And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
Number 2. God the Son as the contractor submitted a flexible estimate of how the building of the universe would take to complete.
Bible Verse: Luke Chapter 14, Verse Number 28
And I Quote
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not SIT DOWN FIRST AND COUNT THE COST, whether he has enough to finish it.
Cost is not always about money. Time and labour characterise cost. Cost is a value measured by what must be given or done or undergone to get something.
Depending on the project delivery method, the contractor will submit a fixed price or an estimate. God, the Son as the contractor, needed no money to buy this or that. God the Son had everything He ever wanted in Him for the engineer, thus, the Holy Spirit to use for the building. The only thing that He ever wanted was to provide the estimate of when the building of the universe could be done.
The cost of completing the universe was estimated to be six days in the sight of men, but six thousand years in the sight of God. Though the engineer could use just a second to make the universe, he opted to take quite a time to build the universe.
Number 3. God the Son as the Contractor considered the general welfare of the project of the universe before and after its construction.
Bible Verse: Revelation 22, Verse Number 13
I am the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END, the FIRST and the LAST.
A well industrious contractor will take into consideration the general welfare of the project he is building even though he is not the homeowner. He thinks about the future of the housing project and contracts for the right materials that can make the house last longer.
The general conditions such as humidity, temperature, wind and other drastic weather which could affect the building are being taken into consideration and the materials needed to be used to build so that they could withstand them are well noted. Necessary measures are put in place to ensure that the house can stay longer than usual.
God the Son too, being an excellent contractor, provided the best materials and equipment to be used which could withstand all the perverse weather that could come many years later after the construction of the universe.
Number 4. God the Son as the Contractor became the cornerstone concerning of the building of the universe.
Bible Verse: Acts Chapter 4, Verse Number 11
And I Quote
This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.
Not only did God the Son become the contractor, but was part of the materials that needed to be used to complete the building of the universe.
When masons are laying the blocks for the building, in the initial stages, they will reject the broken blocks. They will lay the full blocks till they reach a point where full blocks are not needed anymore. This occurs especially at the corners of the building.
When a full block is used, it projects outwards, making it unsuitable for attaining the shape it is needed to. Here, the mason, after rejecting the initial fraction of the block, returns to take that block, he once rejected which can fit into the corner of the house to make it a complete house. Without the cornerstone, there is no completion of a housing project.
Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, was the cornerstone used to complete the building project of the universe. Without Him, we could not have had a complete universe we have now.
Subheading: The Spirit Of God – The Civil Engineer
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 31 to 33
And I Quote
And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and UNDERSTANDING, in KNOWLEDGE and all manner of WORKMANSHIP, to design ARTISTIC WORKS, to work in GOLD and SILVER and BRONZE, in CUTTING JEWELS FOR SETTING, in CARVING WOOD, and to work in all MANNER OF ARTISTIC WORKMANSHIP.
The third Person of the Trinity is the One who is responsible for the actual construction. He is endowed with the power of labouring. Of all the persons in the Trinity, He is the strength behind them all.
Before the universe was made, He understood to carry out the building aspect of the universe. Not only was He found on the waters during creation, but was the One who built what the Word had contracted.
The fact that you have trips of sand, blocks, plots of land, water and all other building materials does not make you a homeowner. You need masons, carpenters, steel benders, plumbers, electricians etc to transform such materials into a complete building.
This activity of building the universe involves the process of bringing together needful materials with the necessary equipment to form the building one needs. The conversion of the raw materials into the finished building product is not an easy task.
A competent civil engineer is called upon to handle such a project by mobilization other building workers. His technical know-how must be sound. Such a civil engineer must be noted as someone who is a finisher and not a starter.
There are many projects that get started, but are unable to be completed at all and not on time, not because the homeowner could not bear the cost, but the engineers contracted, were not loyal to their work. Loyal engineers stay true to their work, and it becomes their hallmark eventually.
Subheading: How The Spirit Of God Built The Universe
First Point. The Spirit of God built the universe with all manner of craftsmanship.
Bible Verse: Exodus 35, Verse Number 31
And I Quote
In, all manner of workmanship
One of the chief characteristics of a good builder is the one who is highly productive. When two engineers are given the same project contract, the one with the superior skill in workmanship will be favoured more than the other.
What it is the use of an engineer who is not skilled? What is the use of an engineer who has a track record of unsuccessful projects? Will you be wise enough to entrust your building project into such hands? Absolutely not!
No engineer can boast of having all manner of workmanship. No one knows how to do everything. You can be good or better at one thing and worse at the other, but there is only One Builder who is the best, and that is the Holy Spirit. He is the chief of all artistic builders.
In any occupation you found yourself, you are not as skilled as the Holy Spirit. The best source to get more creative skills from is to pray for its supply from the Spirit of God, even if you think you are artistic in your field of work.
You may think you are much endowed with the expertise in building as your career, but you only know in part without the Holy Spirit. Many people think they are indispensable because of the things they know that others don’t. Be humble and serve because there is someone better than you.
If God ever said something and it came to pass, it was the Holy Spirit who used His workmanship to build it from scratch. It was Him behind the reality of the virtual idea of creation the Godhead had before the universe was made.
Till now, no innovative person can create his or her own heaven or earth and live in. It was this special workmanship skill of the Holy Spirit that made the universe we see now as marvellous building to behold reality.
Point 2. The Spirit of God built the universe with artistic designs.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 32
And I Quote
to design ARTISTIC WORKS
To be artistic is to satisfy aesthetic standards and sensibilities. Because the Spirit of God did artistic work when He was building the universe, that was why God the Father could look at it and say it was good.
Bible Verse: Genesis Chapter 1, Verse Number 10
And I Quote
And God saw that it was good.
One thing that the Spirit of God used to build the universe was the ability to make artistic designs. When one looks at the universe, you will realise it didn’t come by itself, but it was done by a very Creative Person.
The design of the universe was based on two things: the animate and the inanimate. For the animate thus, humans, angels, animals and plants, they are not of the same design make-up. Animals, especially, differ from one another by Kingdom, order, class, genus, and species.
This is because the Holy Spirit created them according to their kind. He built them with special features that could distinct one animate or inanimate being from the other. Without creativity, such artistic works of creation would not have been done.
Inanimate beings, too boast of all kinds of creative characteristics. When looking at the solar system and all other celestial bodies, how Jupiter is made is not the same as how Saturn is made.
How the planet earth was created and given the forms of life for human existence from the other planets was one of the artistic works of the Spirit. His ways of doing things are perfect and nice.
Point 3: The Spirit of God built the universe with all sources of wealth and beautifications.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 32
And I Quote
to work in GOLD and SILVER and BRONZE
The Spirit of God used materials that would first beautify the building He was making. Second, He had to provide man who was the image of God with all the sources of wealth he might need. He buried minerals in the earth so man could assess to make his life comfortable for him.
The Holy Spirit knew that someday we will need these minerals like gold, silver, brass, crude oil, and other raw materials to provide for ourselves the necessities of life such as food, shelter, clothing, and what have you.
Without Him burying all these things into the earth and the sea, we would not have been able to survive until now, even though He made the universe a better place to live in. His understanding of providing sources of wealth for the inhabitants of the earth was one of a kind.
Point 4. The Spirit of God built the universe with all the solidity it needed.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 33
And I Quote
In cutting jewels for setting
Solidity is the quality of being solid and reliable financially, factually or morally. Stones provide the solidity for every house. If one is making the foundation and there are no stones in them, the building will lose its solidity.
There is a certain understanding in stone cutting. A plumber who is skilled in piping will not understand why some worthless stones should be cut. It is nonsense to a medical doctor who has little understanding concerning this special office of cutting stones.
Someone who doesn’t value the initial process of stone cutting will think the engineers are wasting time, but when it gets to setting up those stones, then it makes sense why the building needed that.
Little did I know that the greatest engineer, the Holy Spirit, also was an expert even before the world was made. He possessed the needed wisdom and understanding for providing the necessary solidity for the universe for many years to come.
The rock of ages who is the Word of God was used to set the universe in place. He is the priceless jewel that holds the universe from falling. It is the Word that gives the world its solidity. If it is been taken away, the universe will be no more.
Bible Verse: Second Peter 3, Verse Number 7
And I Quote
BUT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WHICH ARE NOW PRESERVED BY THE SAME WORD, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
When Jesus Christ comes the second time, it is the Word that provides support for His creations, that He is coming to take and after that, He will destroy the ones that don’t. This is what separates the sheep from the goats.
Point 5. The Spirit of God built the universe with the best carving or artistic workmanship.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 35, Verse Number 32
And I Quote
In carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship.
To carve is to engrave or cut by chipping away at a surface. What do you think the Spirit of God was doing on the waters during creation? It was a period of exhibiting His carving expertise. The movement was a sign of creativity in the art of carving. Since He is skilled in all workmanship, it not only wood that He can carve but also the waters.
Bible Verse: Genesis Chapter 1, Verse Number 2
And I Quote
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
To carve is not to have fun with the surface of things, but to bring out the best out of them. The carving ability of the Spirit of God brought about a separation of light from the darkness. Without the carving expertise of the Spirit, we wouldn’t have experienced the light we are enjoying now.
Wood is one material that is connected to the profession of carpentry. Any skilled carpenter knows how to carve wood very well and he can use them for cunning building works. Wood makes the roofing of a house possible, and it is wood that shows how the house project has neared completion.
