Hello Beloved of Christ
Welcome to the Davidic Blog
Today’s message, as authored by David Abanquah, under the auspices of God’s inspiration, is entitled as: ON A MISSION
And the main text is taken from the gospels according to Luke, chapter 4, and its verse number 26
READ: Matthew 10:16
But to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
Now the exposition
The reason after becoming born again, you are not raptured by God into heaven is that, you have a mission to accomplish. Such a mission is not beneficial to God per se, but, to you as an individual. We all will be given crowns of life, but we should note that, rewards for missions will separate the boys from the men. Never undervalue what God has chosen you to do. You may usher in church, sweep the church, win souls, give, pray for the church always and what have you. Don’t expect any reward from men, but, the God who called you into Christianity, is the One who has the perfect reward for you, awaiting you in the warehouse of heaven. Don’t be weary in going what is good.
In one of Jesus Christ’s ministry journeys, He came to Nazareth, his hometown. While ministering to them, he recognised that the people were not flowing with His ministry as they ought to. Because they were familiar with Him as the son of Joseph, the carpenter, they did not have outright faith which could have ignited the anointing upon His life to spark on them. Unbelief and familiarity killed Jesus’s ministry in Nazareth. The attitude of familiarity from others is inevitable in every ministry. As it happened to Jesus, expect nothing different in yours. No matter the office of ministry you are in or how anointed you are, there are certain people who will never yield to your ministry.
They will never believe that you are called. These people are not far, but they are the ones who are closer to you: family members, friends, and people you interact with, often. In all the adverse conditions you face, always know that you are on a mission. Don’t give space for the devil at all. In the heat of ministration, Jesus Christ dropped the story of the Prophet Elijah and the widow of Sarepta. Prophet Elijah was not sent to rich people, or great men, neither was he sent to people whose marriages were working, but he was sent to a widow. This widow showed acts of generosity to the prophet at the time of her crisis, and she became wealthy in such a bad economy.
God has sent us into this world for certain purposes as He did with Elijah. Designated purposes God has crafted you and I, to accomplish so we can meet His will of salvation and knowledge of the Truth as seen in 1 Timothy 2:4. We are here on a mission, and every day is an opportunity for us to work out our salvation and that of others. In everything you do, ask for divine strength to aid you to fulfil your mission. There are people whom we have to reach out to, people God wants to change their lives through us. There are people God has sent them to us for the betterment of our lives and ministries. As you minister to people, be humble so they can minister onto you too.
Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers for the realisation of the full-blown purpose of your calling and every mission God brought you into this world to accomplish.
2. As Paul was purposely sent on a mission to the Gentiles and Peter to the Jews, lift up prayers for God to reveal the people your ministry is centred on.
3. Pray for God to release helpers for your ministry as He did in the life of Elijah when he was blessed by the widow of Sarepta.
4. Bind the spirits of familiarity and unbelief that are influencing people or will influence them some time to come to attack your ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.
Quote
You have a unique mission you alone can complete because of the ministerial office God has strategically placed you.
