CONSIGNED TO DISOBEY

Today’s message, as authored by David Abanquah, under the auspices of God’s inspiration, is entitled as: CONSIGNED TO DISOBEY

And the main text is taken from The Epistle Of Paul to the Church of Rome, Chapter 11, and its verse number 32, The New English Translation Of The Bible

And I Quote

For God has CONSIGNED all people to DISOBEDIENCE so that he may show mercy to them all.

Now the exposition

To consign in this context, is to commit one to another for safekeeping or care irrevocably or forever. It is amazing for us to discover that, it is God’s will for us to be committed to things we have no option and control over. We need to pray for God’s will, which is mostly salvation, to be done as seen in First Timothy 2:4. God is Supreme and Sovereign over all. When He does things, He doesn’t have to seek permission and consultation from men. For the activities concerning the things of God, the free will or self-will of man, does not count. It is sinners who have free will or self-will whether to accept Jesus Christ or to deny Him. God did not seek the free will of men to create His universe.

He did not need us to tell Him whether He should create the heavens first or the earth second. The decisions of God are Authoritative and final. No one can question God, why did He create Lucifer to be the angelic originator of sin, Eve to cause man to fall, and Judas Iscariot to betray the Son of God for thirty pieces of silver? One decision of God which shows His supremacy and Sovereignty is that, He has committed all His images onto disobedience as seen in Romans 11:32. This was accomplished, when Lucifer and one-third of the non-image beings of God or angels, who wanted democracy or free will instead of autocracy or the will of God, were overthrown from heaven onto earth.

What Lucifer was doing was not a good thing, but see how many angels who were supporting his evil agenda. You can engage yourself in sinful endeavours, but you will still get people to sponsor you. Many true Ministers of God needs help in their various ministries, yet, you will see some rich believers sponsoring worldly events. True believers are consigned to obey God and His kingdom business. Instead of Lucifer staying in his position as the Leader of Angelic Musicians, he wanted to be the President of Heaven. Wow! We may not understand why God created Lucifer to disobey Him because, the ways of God are deeper, unfathomable, and beyond tracing out.

It is God who creates the destroyer to wreak havoc as seen in Isaiah 54:16, and it is the will of God why things exist and were created, as seen in Revelation 4:11. It was divine consignment that allowed Satan into the Garden of Eden, to cause the fall of man. Without sin, the blood of Jesus Christ that would be shed for the remission of man’s sins, would not have been shed. Without sin, the grace of God that leads to salvation, is irrelevant. Man needed to fall as divine consignment. Without disobedience, mercy is unprofitable! If you are a sinner, don’t worry, His mercy abounds as you live. Come to Jesus Christ for the mercy to obey Him! It is because of our falling short of grace that He died.

Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers to be committed to any consignment God has placed you under.

2. Lift up prayers for the subjection of your ego, or self-will under the will of the Holy Spirit, so you can obey Him every time.

3. Lift up prayers for God to deliver you from the Spirit of disobedience when the time of your salvation is due according to His will.

4. Lift up prayers and intercede for unbelievers, who are the elect of God to be saved from their sins in the name of Jesus Christ.
