GUEST

Hello beloved of Christ

Welcome to the Davidic Blog

Today’s message as authored by David Abankwah, under the auspices of God’s inspiration, is entitled as GUEST

And the key text is taken from the Book of Revelation, chapter 3, and its verse number 20, The New King James Version Of The Bible

And I Quote

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

How will you feel if you wake up one beautiful morning, on one of the days of your leave, and hear your door being banged upon, and to your surprise, your role model, or someone you really look up to in your Christian life, ministry, social life, health or fitness life, marital life, or financial life, whom you have always wanted to meet in person, shows his or her face? I don’t know the excitement it will bring to you that day, even though you will be disappointed this wonderful guest, didn’t notify you before coming, so you would have prepared beforehand, to prepare yourself well for meeting him or her. We normally prepare enough to meet mortal people we adore, respect, or honour.

But how many of us prepare enough for spiritual guests in the Godhead? Many people fail to prepare their souls for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Some believers even think Jesus Christ is not coming soon, so they can live their lives anyhow. They see money making as more important, than the spiritual investment of their souls. There is one particular person who is bigger, brighter, wiser, greater, beautiful, mightier, splendorous, amazing, powerful than any role model or celebrity you know. He is in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the seen glory of the invisible Father, and the invisible Spirit of God. He is the embodiment of the unseen Godhead.

He is the perfect God in flesh who walked the earth without sin. If we have anyone to welcome into our homes, we must prepare our hearts for the visitation of the Messiah, the Lord King of Christianity Redeemer, Saviour, and Lover of our souls, as seen in Revelation 3:20. Jesus Christ became our divine guest, when He visited us on earth from heaven. He socialised with us through preaching, teaching, and all kinds of miracles to depict His love for us. He constantly had time for the rich, the poor, the intellect, the dull, the small, and the great. Throughout His life, the lives of these categories of people who welcomed Him as their guest, were blessed and those who did not, were cursed.

He concluded His visit on earth by dying on the cross. After that, He rose triumphantly on the third day. He ascended into heaven to be our guest of reconciliation, through whom our case of pardoning of sins can be presented to the Father. He is seated at the right hand of the Invisible Ancient of Days, as seen in Acts 2:33. His visit is still affecting lives now because, He is constantly knocking at the door of our hearts, as seen in Revelation 3:20, through the Word of God, and through the Holy Spirit. This is because, He is the Word of God, as seen in John 1:1, and His words are Spirit, as seen in John 6:63. Will you open the door of your heart for Him to come in, or will you call the police because of His visit?

Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers for physical and spiritual sanctification of your body and soul, so you can stay away from sin, iniquity, transgression, and abomination.

2. Lift up prayers for the eyes and heart to value God as the most special guest you can have upon, on, with, and in you more than any human celebrity.

3. Lift up prayers for the acceptance of God’s call, so you can allow yourself for God to use so He can also be welcomed as a guest in the lives of unbelievers.

4. Lift up prayers for God to expose every evil spirit that pretends to be the guest of light in you.

5. Declare that: ‘I am living a life of cleanliness and sanctification. The Trinity is upon me, with me, on me and in me as I live the life of righteousness and holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.’
