Hello Beloved Of Christ
Welcome To The Davidic Blog
Today’s Message As Authored By David Abankwah, under the auspices of God’s inspiration, is entitled as, EVIL FRIENDS
And the main text is taken from the book of Micah, the Prophet, chapter 7, and its verse numbers 2 and 5, The New King James Version Of The Bible.
And I Quote
The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; every man hunts his brother with a net. DO NOT TRUST IN A FRIEND; DO NOT PUT YOUR CONFIDENCE IN A COMPANION; Guard the doors of your mouth. From her who lies in your bosom.
Now the exposition
God blesses us by giving us people who are good, and Satan also destroys our lives through people who are evil as seen in John 10:10. Through a network of relationships, many people become successful, and through a network of relationships, many lives are ruined. I wouldn’t have known what my life would have been, if I hadn’t met the good people God blessed me with, such as Francis Owusu during my junior high schooling, Nimo James during my senior high schooling, and Alifo Stanley during my tertiary schooling. As I met good people, there were ones who were evil, and they too, gave me bitter experiences. Such experiences are lessons for me on how to handle people like that in the future.
Sometimes, people fail us, so we can depend on God. People break our hearts, so we can trust in God. People hate us, so we can love God. People leave us, so we can be able to stay alone. When I started writing books and devotionals, I got people closer to me, who let me down by their words and actions. If I had thrown in the towel, the Davidic Devotionals would not have been born. Singlehandedly, the Lord saw me through one devotional after the other, and one book after the other. Disappointment led to my appointment. It helped me to do things alone. Even though there are good people God brings, there are evil friends too, and you have to be vigilant to notice.
Your success lies in the network of good people you have. Yet, Satan sends us evil friends, to destroy what God has planned for us. Many times, we don’t notice the evil friends who are around us, because, they seem to support everything we do, even the evil lifestyles we live. Many people are so corrupt that, a good friend is rather the bad, and the evil friend is rather the good one. The friends who are liked, are those who don’t give good advice. You need to be selective concerning the people, who are closer to you, as far as your salvation is concerned. If you watch carefully, there are people who don’t contribute to your Christian life. They always draw you away from the things of God.
Such evil friends never tell you to pray, fast, read, study, and meditate on the Word of God. They never invite you to church, or have Bible studies with you. They never mention something like evangelism and soul-winning. All they try to shift your focus to, is the world and its pleasures. Such friends, avoid! Samson would have fulfilled his God-given purpose, but, Delilah, an evil friend, halted that mission. An evil friend to Ammon, gave him an idea on how he could sleep with her own sister Tamar. Even in every twelve pastors, there is one Judas. The attitude your friends exhibit through what they say and what they do, will definitely tell you their real identity, whether they are good or evil friends.
Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers to learn from the damaging lessons you have experienced from evil friends.
2. Lift up prayers to refrain from people who don’t add up to your Christian life.
3. Lift up prayers to fulfil your God-given mission by connecting with the right people.
4. Declare that: ‘I am delivered from every spirit that influences me to pay people evil for good. I am delivered from calling evil good and good evil. I am now vigilant and sober concerning people closer to me in the name of Jesus Christ.’
Quote
An evil friend is more dangerous than Satan. It is better to take Satan as a friend, than to have a pretentious enemy as a friend
