Hello Beloved Of Christ
Welcome To The Davidic Blog
Today’s Message As Authored By David Abankwah, under the auspices of God’s inspiration, is entitled as PLEASURE
And the main text is taken from the Book of Psalms, chapter 104, and its verse number 31, The New English Translation Of The Bible
And it reads as
May the splendor of the Lord endure! May the Lord find PLEASURE in the living things he has made!
Now, the exposition
There are so many things in life, that enhances the happiness of people. Joy comes from the fruit of the Holy Spirit, but, happiness comes from things of the earth. Joy is divine, while happiness is carnal. You can have money and be happy, but, to have money and be joyful, you need the Holy Spirit in your life. It is shocking to notice that, what makes someone happy is the same thing that grieves another person’s heart. When it comes to live matches, and there is a guy in the house, there is always a fight for the remote, as time draws near for kick-offs. Sometimes, the females in the house are not happier concerning what is happening, but, they don’t have a choice or whatsoever.
What thrills many women, are the soapy operas or telenovelas, as against sporting disciplines many men want to watch in the house as their source of entertainment. Pleasure as defined by Advanced English Dictionary, is a fundamental feeling hard to define, by which people desire to experience. A pleasure is a state of gratification, or a source of delight. As there are things that make mortals happy, God has His fair share of the pleasure’s bargain. There are things that make God joyful too. Though God created all things, He can command joy to feel His heart anytime He wants to, but, it doesn’t work that way in God’s realm of operation. By His principles, He lives!
Our good deeds as His images and likenesses, are what gives Him pleasure. God doesn’t take pleasure, when we do things that go contrary to His instructions. If evil fathers even want the best for their children, how much more a perfect God who created all of us? A good child will always make his father proud, when he does things that the father wants. Fathers always take pleasure in a child who lives according to His will. There are dangerous sons who always want to grieve their fathers, no matter how responsible their fathers are. Dangerous children of God are those believers who don’t preach to others to be saved. They only think about their salvation and not others.
The will of God is the salvation of unbelievers, as seen in Matthew 18:12, and First Timothy 2:4. Nothing makes Him happier, as seen in Luke 15:7, when an unbeliever makes a U-turn from the path of destruction, onto the narrow road, as seen in Matthew 7:13 to 14. Heaven shakes! Parties are organised! The pleasure that fills the heart of God, channels into the hosts of heaven. The angels join the fun, because, it is the greatest miracle for a sinner to repent. If you can go about evangelising and winning souls, you will make God happy always. Remember that, people do unbelievable things when they are happy. Likewise, when God is happy, He will also reward you for such a good work. Be an evangelist!
Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers for the splendour of the Lord to come upon your life and others. Mention their names as you pray.
2. Lift up prayers to do things in life and ministry that will give God pleasure.
3. Lift up prayers for the joy of the Holy Spirit in your soul to reflect in your body.
4. Lift up prayers to desist from the inactions of the love of money, covetousness, laziness, bitterness, and fear, that prevent you from preaching the good news to other people to be saved.
5. Declare that: ‘I give up on the practice of concentrating more on things, that give me pleasure in spirituality instead of carnality. I am delivered from the spirit of lust that controls and engages me to do things I don’t want to in the name of Jesus Christ.’
Quote
“You can be on earth and still have an impact in heaven. There is no pleasure in heaven comparable to soul-winning”
