The AudioBook, Before Genesis Chapter 1, Verse 1, Authored By David Abankwah Through The Inspiration Of God
Chapter 9
Subheading: The Called Generations Before Genesis 1:1
Bible Verse: Isaiah Chapter 41, Verse Number 4
And I Quote
Who has performed and done it, CALLING THE GENERATIONS FROM THE BEGINNING? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last I am He.’ ”
Subheading: The Book Of Records
God told Prophet Jeremiah that, He knew him before he was born. If you know someone, you are also aware of the person’s name. Before someone can be born, his name is already recorded in the Book of Records.
Before Genesis 1:1, God was preparing this book, that would contain all the names of angels, and all the names of human beings, that would come into this world. For those who are not having their names recorded in the Book of Records, can never be born.
It is medically proven that, the semen of a man contains a million of sperms, and at least one of these millions of sperms, can fertilise with one ovum of the woman he is having the sexual intercourse with.
It is believed that, the healthy sperm that gets there first, is the sperm that can fertilise and become a baby. So, in this view, the millions of sperms are taking part in some kind of race. The one who has his name written in the Book of God’s Book of Records, is the one will win the race to the mother’s ovum for fertilisation. How amazing this is!
Someone will ask, what if the woman has a miscarriage, or when the baby is aborted from being born at all? The day the sperm and the ovum fertilise, is the day the child is born, and not when the child comes out of the womb. Real birthdate is when a sperm fertilizes with the egg of the woman and not when the baby is born.
So, if you have miscarriage, or you have an abortion, thinking it is just a clot of blood, God knows that soul. God knew Jeremiah not when he was fully developed in his mother’s womb, but before he was even formed, thus in the zygote stage.
Bible Verse: Jeremiah Chapter 1, Verse Number 5
And I Quote
“BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB I KNEW YOU; BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
All the generations that would come, even before the world began, God had written already all their names in the Book of Records. So, God knows everyone who is dead, is still living, or will be born in the future.
Subheading: The Vision of Daniel
Bible Verse: Daniel Chapter 7, Verse Number 10
And I Quote
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the BOOKS WERE OPENED.
Daniel seeing books opened in heaven, after the Ancient of Days sat on the throne, gives us glimpses of the Book of Records, Book of Remembrance, and the Book of life.
Many of us know much about the Book of life, and not the Book of Records. Before the Ancient of Days can judge, the book that contains the names of those who have ever existed, must be opened, and checked for evidence.
All generations that have ever existed, have all their names in the Book of Records, which were part of the books Daniel saw were opened during the court proceedings, held by the Ancient of Days.
Subheading: The Revelation of John
Bible Verse: Revelation Chapter 20, Verse Number 12
And I Quote
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and BOOKS WERE OPENED. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
Another evidence of the Book of Records in the Bible, is the revelation Apostle John had. He saw that books were opened during judgement, as Daniel also saw, but this judgement was called ‘The Judgement of The Great White Throne.’
Before God can judge, He cannot forego the Book of Records. Everyone that had been called forth as a generation, has his or her name written in the Book of Records.
Every mortal who once lived, has his or her name written in the Book of Records, but it is those who made it to the end in the Lord, are those whose names can be written in the Book of life.
Point 1: Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew that all generations would not cross the 7000 years mark of the end of the world.
Bible Verse: Second Peter 3, Verse Number 6
And I Quote
But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Though it looks like the universe was made to abide forever, or because Adam sinned that was why the plan changed, but the Lord made the world in such a way that, the world would not exist all the time. The universe had an expiry date which determined by God.
The Lord took six days in the sight of man, but 6000 years in His sight, to create the universe, and used one day in the sight of man, but 1000 years in His sight to rest, making 7000 years. This gives us the hint that, the expiry date God gave to the universe to exist, was 7000 years at most.
We are not here in this expiry world to live all the time, as a generation who have been called forth. The generations that needed to be called forth to fill the universe, would not cross the 7000 years mark of the universe, before the world began as predetermined by the Godhead.
Point 2: Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew the generation of the first 2000 years era He would call forth.
Bible Verse: Luke Chapter 3, Verse Number 34 To 38
And I Quote
…..the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor, the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah, the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam…..
The generations can be separated into three main eras, according to the expiry date of the universe. The first generation, thus, in the first 2000 years, starts from the time of Adam, to the time of Abraham.
All such mortals who would come in that space of time, all their names were recorded in the Book of Records. God programmed the coming of the generations that needed to come, one at that time.
The most important event in the lives of the generation that lived at the time of the first 2000 years, was the flood that happened during the time of Noah.
Point 3: Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew the generation of the second 2000 years era He would call forth.
Bible Verse: Luke Chapter 3, Verse Number 23 to 34
And I Quote
Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph, the son of Mattathiah, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai, the son of Maath, the son of Mattathiah, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah, ²⁷the son of Joannas, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er, the son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattathah, the son of Nathan, the son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham,
The second generation of another 2000 years era, making it 4000 years, began from Abraham to the time of Jesus Christ. Before Genesis 1:1, God knew this second batch of generation that He would call forth and who He would position them according to His will.
One of the major events concerning the end of the world during this time, was the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone, as an event of the end of the world that would soon come to pass.
Point 4: Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew the last generation of the third 2000 years era He would call forth.
The last generation is from the time of Jesus Christ till the last baby who will be formed in the womb of his or her mother, before the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Before Genesis 1:1, God knew everyone who would be born after the time of His first coming because He had all their names in His Book of Records.
This teaching is very important in the sense that, we are not here, not because we wanted to come, but because there is a God who predestined all these things before the world even began. We ought to humble ourselves, and respect everyone, because, we may not know the true identity of the people we are dealing with.
Throughout the generations, God came as a man and lived among us, as seen in 1 Timothy 3:16, yet many people didn’t know His identity. We are all here to fulfil the will of the Godhead who knew us before we were even born.
Point 5. Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew the third and fourth generation whom they would visit their iniquity upon them.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 20, Verse Number 5
You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN TO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATIONS OF THOSE WHO HATE ME,
If you are a believer, one prayer you must pray to be delivered from, is for God to deliver you from the impact of the sins your family has committed.
There are many struggles believers are going through, just because of the sins some people committed some time ago, that they do not know about in the family, and the nation as a whole that they live in. Sin brings curses that affect generations.
If we can fully function in our Christian walks, we have to overcome the generational curses that we find ourselves in. We have to identify the sources of such curses, so we can know how we can pray about it, and live our lives well in the Lord so we will not be overcome by those curses.
Everyone who sins, is cursed, and that affects the person’s children too, because the Godhead visits the iniquity of the person, not only him, but upon the third and fourth generations of that cursed person.
Before Genesis 1:1, God already knew the generation that would rebel against Him. God knew Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go, unless compelled by His mighty hand, yet He sent Moses to him.
God knew very well that the people were obstinate, their necks were like iron sinews and their brows bronze, yet He sent Isaiah to them. God is not taken by surprise concerning the inactions of the generation to come, because, He is aware of the deviant generations He called before the world even began. Mortals are very stubborn. They would say we didn’t hear Your Word about this or that in the day of judgement. That is why wisdom is crying all over the world as a testimony to all.
6. Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead knew the thousands who would love Him, keep His commandments, and whom His mercy would be shown.
Bible Verse: Exodus Chapter 20, Verse Number 6
And I Quote
But showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Before you can love God, unless you first have the grace of God. You can’t love God with your own will. There are so many people in your family who are ungodly, but have you asked yourself why you are godly?
If you love God and keep His commandments, it is because you had first obtained the mercy of God. The mercy of God is not for sinners who are not ready to repent, but for those who have repented truly. It is the Lord’s mercy we are not consumed by sin.
Bible Verse: Lamentations Chapter 3, Verse Number 22
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
The Godhead knew those who would love Him, and those who would keep His commandments, because it was Him who chose such generation before the world began.
Bible Verse: Ephesians Chapter 1, Verse Number 4
And I Quote
Just as HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
Point 7: Before Genesis 1:1, the Godhead established their covenant with the 1000 generations who would remember it forever.
Bible Verse: First Chronicles 16, Verse Number 15
And I Quote
Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
To have a covenant with someone, is through the sacrifice of blood. At first the Lord kept His covenant with His people, through the sacrifice of the blood of animals, which was temporary because, it couldn’t remove the sins of the people, but only covered them.
But the covenant the Godhead established forever with the thousands of generations, was the blood shed by God Himself, thus the Son. This is the covenant God has with the souls of saints forever, leading to eternal life through the seal of the Holy Spirit.
