TEMPLE FELLOWSHIP

Hello beloved of our Lord Jesus Christ

You are welcome to the Davidic Blog

Today’s Message as authored by David Abankwah, under the auspices of divine inspiration, is entitled as, TEMPLE FELLOWSHIP

And the main text is taken from the Book Of Hebrews, Chapter 10, and its verse number 25, The New King James Version Of The Bible

And it reads as

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Now, the exposition

When I was a teenager, I had a crush with this girl whose house was opposite to ours. Because I ‘loved’ her, I wanted to always spend time with her all the time. I would be gazing at her house for her to come out, so I would go and meet her there. I always loved to go to her house to converse, and have good time together. Why do you say you love God, but, you don’t like going to His house? We normally recite the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, but, we normally hate gathering together. Our Lord and God Jesus Christ, has promised to be with us anytime we meet together, to fellowship in His name, as seen in Matthew 18:20.

There is always a meeting place for all walks of life. Workers meet at their various workplaces; students meet in schools; footballers meet at their various camps; social clubs have their various gathering places, and Christians also have their meeting place, which is called the temple or church building. The unfortunate thing is, when it comes to church meetings, many believers are lackadaisical about it. Many believers go with the favourite Bible quotation, Matthew 6:6, that, we should stay in our closets and pray, but, they don’t know that, this was a Bible verse, that was teaching us about our quiet time, or our private meetings with God. Temple fellowship is also part of Christianity.

For this reason, many people play worship songs, listen to one or two preaching tapes, and they think they have had their church services in their homes. If you love someone, you will visit the person in his or her home. If you love God, you need to go to His house, and that is the temple. There are so many benefits we can get, when we have fellowship with the Lord in His house, thus the church building. We know that God doesn’t live in houses made with hands, as seen in Acts 17:24, but, He has given us the assurance that, when we meet in His name, He will definitely come and fellowship with us, as seen in Matthew 18:20. We should therefore note that, God wants our private meetings with Him, as well as public meetings too.

When we meet, we are encouraged in the faith, as seen in Hebrews 10:25, we are edified, as seen in First Corinthians 14:26, the full-blown power of God’s Spirit is released, as seen in Acts 4:31 and Acts 5:12. When we gather, the power of our prayers amplifies, not because we are many in numbers, but, it is the principle of spiritual gathering, as seen in Deuteronomy 32:30. You do yourself great harm, when you deliberately absent yourself from church meetings, and disengage yourself from church activities. Everyone is busy, but we make time for things that are important. If God is important to you, you will not make any excuse, when time is due for you to meet Him in His house. You need God more than He needs you.

Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers to desist from the habit of going to church late.

2. Lift up prayers for joyfulness and gladness anytime there is time for church meetings.

3. Lift up prayers to be punctual at every church meeting you have to be present.

4. Lift up prayers to be bold enough, to preach or teach in the church, anytime you have the opportunity to do so.

5. Lift up prayers to be delivered from the spirit of weakness that operates you to sleep anytime sermons are being delivered.

6. Lift up prayers to stop every unnecessary going outs, that disrupts church services.

7. Lift up prayers to reap the benefits of mercy and grace, as you approach God always for temple fellowships.

8. Lift up prayers not to leave church earlier than usual on a routine basis.

9. Lift up prayers to follow the rules of the church, so you will not leave the temple with curses.

10. Declare that: ‘I will never be late to church meetings. I will never feel tired to go to church. The blessings of temple fellowship are mine, and my descendants in the name of Jesus Christ.’

Quote
“It is alarming to miss church meetings, than to miss a meeting for a multimillion contract”
