DIVINE EXPECTATION

Hello beloved of our Lord Jesus Christ

Welcome to the Davidic Podcast

Today’s Message As Authored By David, under the auspices of divine inspiration, and narrated by Casidy, is entitled as: DIVINE EXPECTATION

And the main text is taken from the book of Micah, the prophet, chapter 6, and its verse number 8, the New King James Version Of The Bible

And it reads as

He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD REQUIRE OF YOU but to do JUSTLY, to love MERCY, and to WALK HUMBLY with your God?

Now, the exposition

There are many expectations of man in Godliness, ministry, and life, but, it is God who determines for the one who serves Him well. As far as man is concerned, we have our goals in life and we strive hard to achieve them everyday. Expectations in finances, work, marriage, health, social life, and what have you. But do all our expectations fit the bill of God’s will? When it comes to marriage, many believers pray for the will of God to be done, but, such believers don’t expect that, God’s will should be done in other aspects of their lives. Nobody is unaware of what is good and what is bad. There is a beacon of reasoning in every human being, that enables us realise what God expects from us.

It reaches a particular point in one’s stage of human development, where one becomes aware of nature, how, what, and why certain things must be done, and why one needs to refrain from certain things. It becomes livid to us for apprehension, beyond denial, even before the judgement seat of Christ, so no one can be excused because of ignorance, as seen in Romans 1:20. This bell of reasoning in everyone, is called CONSCIENCE. Whether you are a Christian or not, you have a conscience. This conscience is a great gift God has given to man, to direct him morally. Our Creator wants us to be morally good physically, called righteousness, and morally good spiritually, called holiness.

Because we were created in God’s image and likeness, our attitudes should also resemble Him. What we think about, what we say, and what we do, must be the replica of the template of God’s holiness. It is holiness, that God is looking for in our lives. He has not called us to practise sin, but, we are called to practise holiness. For God has not called us for impurity, but, in holiness, as seen in First Thessalonians 4:7. Holiness is not an impossible thing we can’t accomplish, through the Holy Spirit. It is also possible to be compassionate, and loyal to those who love us, and those who hate us. Even though God assists us in our works of salvation, we also have a part to play in it.

For the works of the flesh which are physical or evidential, have to be abstained from them by us, as seen in Galatians 5:19 to 21. We should therefore leave the spiritual things to Him to help us with its deliverance, as seen in Deuteronomy 29:29. Have you ever thought about the difference holiness brings, and what evil accomplishes too? A thief who has been caught, and beaten mercilessly will attest to the fact that, it is good to refrain from taking things that are not yours, without the consent of the owner. A man who has been caught in bed, sleeping with a married woman, can attest to the fact that, it is better to abstain, than to pursue anything in a skirt. If our society even expects good from us, how much more our Maker?
