Hello dear
Welcome To The Davidic Blog
Today’s Message As Authored By David Abankwah, Is Entitled As, CONVERSATIONS
The Main Text Is Taken From Luke Chapter 24, Verse Numbers 15 and 16
And I Read
So it was, while they CONVERSED and reasoned, that JESUS HIMSELF DREW NEAR and went with them. But their EYES WERE RESTRAINED, so that THEY DID NOT KNOW HIM.
Now the exposition
Conversation has a direct implication on one’s spirituality. Because words are spirit as seen in John chapter 6, verse 63, every topic of conversation you engage yourself in, attracts its spiritual force towards you. If you are a believer, be circumspect concerning your choice of words, the topic of discussion you engage yourself in, and the people you converse with. Every conversation you have, will have an implication on your life. After Jesus Christ died, there were lots of rumours about the death of the Messiah in town. People who liked Him especially His followers were saying many good things about Him, not taking away mighty works of teaching, preaching, and healing from their testimonies about Him.
Others who disliked Him, also passed fake news about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ around as seen in Matthew chapter 28, verses 11 to 14. Not all condolences that emanates from all sympathisers and well-wishers are genuine. There are some people who wish we never lived when they are present at our funeral gatherings. While rumours about the dead Jesus in town were circulating, there were these guys who were walking towards a town called Emmaus. They were busily sharing their sentiment about the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Can you imagine that they only talked about Him for the seven-mile journey on foot? When was the last time you talked about Jesus?
These guys were also sad about losing their only hope for Israel as they showed the passion behind their conversation. They weren’t gossipers who were having a good time talking about someone, rather, they were true sympathisers of the death of the Messiah. As they were talking about the Messiah, Jesus Christ joined their conversation from nowhere and kept it going. He disguised Himself into a different person. Then when they finally arrived in Emmaus, He had communion with them and after that, He revealed Himself to them. The inclusion of Jesus Christ in their conversation, confirms that, where two or three meet in His name, He is present as He said in Matthew chapter 18, verse 20.
Jesus Christ, a spiritual person, who manifested Himself to these guys in flesh, teaches us that, there is a third invisible spiritual person behind every conversation we have. Anytime people converse about money, the spirit of mammon presents himself to fuel the conversation up by stirring the love for money among them. Anytime you converse about sex, the spirit of lust presents himself in your midst to arouse your feelings towards sexual immorality. Anytime people converse about God, the Holy Spirit also presents Himself in their midst so He can fellowship with them. There is always an invisible third person behind your conversations, so watch out!
Prayer Diary
1. Lift up prayers for the fullness of the love of God that will propel you to share and discuss the wisdom, personal observations, testimonies, mysteries, revelations, understanding, and the personal knowledge you have about the Gospel with others.
2. Bind the evil spirit of fear, intimidation, and shyness that quench the fire of evangelism and contributions you have to make during church meetings in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Declare that: ‘I am backed by the Holy Spirit to be bold in conversing with others about Jesus Christ. I will never be fearful, timid or shy anytime I have to do something for God. The fire of evangelism burns in me!’
Quote
Because words are spirits, there is always a third party behind very conversation you have, which you can’t see because your eyes are restrained
Stay Blessed
Shalom
