THE DARKENED EYES

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

The alarming rate of crime, wars, kingdoms rising against kingdoms and nations rising against nations is all because the eyes of men have been darkened by the god of this world. Before you can commit sin, it is the cause of an evil spirit. No drum cannot play its own without the influence of a drummer sitting behind it. No pot can make itself unless a potter moulds it. Many people think witches are the only people who are possessed by evil spirits but everyone who sins and cannot stop it, is controlled by an evil spirit. It is that evil spirit living in you who darkens the eyes of your soul so you cannot know what you are doing. It is that evil spirit in you that rises against any righteous thing.
If you ask many people if they want to go to New Jerusalem, they will tell you they want to, but why is that the same people can do what will take them there? Why is it that they feel they want to go there but they can’t do what is righteous? There is someone blocking them. It seems it is themselves who are living in sin but it is not so. They are being operated. This is the reason Pastors have to help their church members and deliver them as such so they can be free. If you are not free you can never be possessed by the Holy Spirit who is responsible for helping you live your life without sin. Many people wonder how can someone live all his life without committing any sin in this world?
Well, because you were once in the world, that is why it is difficult for you but if you are possessed by the Holy Spirit, everything is possible! When your eyes are darkened, you find living in these sins as normal: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, thefts, covetousness, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, smoking, make-ups, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like. Because your spiritual eyes are bad, your whole soul is corrupted in sin and for that matter you are a slave of darkness. Sometimes you want to stop it but you can’t. Some say you are addicted, but you are a slave of sin.
Until you give your life to Jesus Christ to set you free, you will always remain in your slavery until you die and go to hell. There are so many people who thought their lives were their own to live. They didn’t listen to the saving power of the Gospel and now they are dead. They later found their souls in hell and now they believed what was said while they lived was the truth but it is too late. Don’t be silly and follow suit. Enough with the things of the world! Enough with the darkness you have been living in! One minute in hell will make you forget the enjoyment of the world. Repent and amend your ways. Come to Jesus Christ and let Him save your soul from darkness.

Lift up prayers for deliverance from any area of sin your eyes have been darkened in so you can be enlightened to live in holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.
