MAKEUPS
David Abankwah
SERIES: Day 1

If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
-I Corinthians 3:17 | NKJV

Makeups is one area of much controversy. Many churches say whatever you do with your body doesn’t matter and some too argue that it matters. Some say when the world changes, you must also change to follow suit. The Bible tells us that, we should not love the world or the things that are in the world. If someone loves the world, the love of God is not in that person. So if the world changes, why do you as a believer want to change to follow suit? Anyone who follows the world cannot have eternal life. God has a say about how we dress. If that is not the case, then we wouldn’t have been dressed with another clothing from Jesus Christ before entering New Jerusalem.

Our bodies were not given to us to mess up with it and go scot free. We will definitely be judged concerning every deed we do with our bodies. If you didn’t create yourself, then you have an account to give before Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10). This is because our bodies are the temples of God and if we destroy the body with makeups, then He will also destroy us on this earth and in the lake of fire. Makeup is a sin and if you do that, you can never have eternal life. You let your so-called Pastors tell you it is nothing. You will meet the Lord one day and you will be sorry. If your Pastor is the one who will judge you, then I have no problem. But if it is Jesus Christ who will judge you, then you have a big problem standing before Him.

Makeup (cosmetics) a: such as lipstick, mascara, and eye shadow) used to color and beautify the face b: a cosmetic applied to other parts of the body – leg makeup for a tanned appearance c: materials (such as wigs and cosmetics) used in making up or in special costuming. Let me make this scenario. If your Pastor who says makeups is nothing sees you at his house, ready to use an escavator to bring down his house down, will he allow you to do that knowing how much he has spent building his house? If he will not allow you to do that, then you are not allowed to destroy the temple of God (your body) with MAKEUPS. You don’t want your house to be destroyed but you want God’s temple to be destroyed. Hmmm.

When God used to stay in the church building made with human hands, He gave directives concerning what needed to be done. Now God is not living in the temples made with human hands. Now He is living in our bodies and that is His temple now. He purposely built our bodies with the vision of staying in it but now many people are telling God their bodies are not meant for Him to stay in. He should rather look elsewhere to stay. Wow. When you do makeups that is what you are telling God. You bath well to cleanse yourself from dirt but after bathing, you still make yourself dirtier by applying makeups. You see the stupidity in this? Stupidity in this generation is seen as civility.

Lift up prayers of forgiveness to God that you didn’t know makeups was a sin, but now that you do, He should forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quote
Makeups doesn’t beautify the temple of God; it destroys it rather
