Love suffers long…..

We thank God for His Word entitled: Love determinants that we will be receiving inspiration of. Love is important virtue believers need to have. Do you love someone or something more than God? You will bear with me that, what you love
is what you deliberately make most of your time for. What you love, is what you cherish most. What you love, is what you invest in more. What you love, is what you admire most. What you love, is what you sacrifice a lot for. Unfortunately, when it comes to the sacrificial part of love, many are unwilling to make. Real love requires suffering, sacrificing, dying, and losing.
Love is not just a feeling of pleasantness, but an action of endurance for the things of God and the welfare of men. Once you find yourself in love, you have placed yourself in one of the determinants of love called: LONG-SUFFERING. Long-suffering is the experience of pain or unpleasantness for someone or something for a very long time without complaining. Love is going to cost you a lot because, love has a price of longsuffering you have to pay. I used to support a sporting club for quite a time. I kept on believing that success of trophies would be our portion. The more I believed for success, the more we kept on failing.
I always had the belief that, at least in the midst of our crisis, we would stand tall and win some trophies some time to come but that wasn’t happening. I knew my love for this great club was tested with the trait of long-suffering. It got to a time I couldn’t bear it anymore and I had to throw in the towel or quit so I could bypass longsuffering. You can bypass the things of the world but you can’t bypass the longsuffering that the love for God and ministry entails. The longsuffering of our Christian lives cannot be compared to the longsuffering of the love Jesus Christ had to go through for the remission of our sins.
Anytime something bad happens to many believers, they think God has forsaken them. Many people are the ones who forsake God rather. God becomes our security guard when we sleep. He becomes our Provider when the need be. He became our Saviour when we were lost. He becomes your defender against the devil’s wiles even when we don’t call Him. It is His strength that makes us wealthy. He is our Creator and Sustainer. God serves us more than we serve Him, yet many still complain. We have to prove the authenticity of your love for God and men in times of sufferings.

¹Lift up prayers to refrain from the habit of complaining anytime you go through pains for the sake of the brotherly love you have for one another. ²Lift up prayers to refrain from the habit of complaining anytime you go through pains for the sake of the love you have for God and His work. ³Lift up prayers for patience during difficult times, offences or hardships. ⁴Lift up prayers for maturity as you experience diverse situations as a test of your longsuffering in the name of Jesus Christ.
